Ashiastu DeepFeet Therapy

Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the massage therapist uses her feet to deliver a deep broad even massage.  The movements are similar to a traditional Swedish massage but much deeper than a deep tissue massage.  A stabilizing scarf attached to the massage table is used for both balance and stability, allowing for a slow, controlled,  fluid and very relaxing massage.  The combination of the the therapist’s body weight and use of her feet helps penetrate through the superficial layers of tissue, allowing for a deep continuous massage that covers a much larger area at one time.

The Benefits of Ashiatsu

These movements dramatically stretch shortened muscles, relieving muscular discomfort, and elongate the spine.  Ashiatsu relieves muscle spasms by giving the nerves more space and increases circulation, bringing more freshly oxygenated blood to the area. The greatest benefits of Ashiatsu are the improvement in posture, movement, and pain relief.
