INTEGRATED MASSAGE

An integrated massage combines various massage modalities into a customized session tailored to the individual’s needs.  The therapist develops a  sense of which bodywork techniques the client responds best to by combining different massage styles and drawing from experience.  This type of massage relies on the therapist being in tune with the client as well as being intuitive.  The combined modalities during a session may include Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Cross Fiber Massage , and Orthopedic Massage.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a method for activating the healing abilities of the body.  The established principle states that there are energy zones that run throughout the body and reflex areas in the feet that correspond to all the major organs, glands, and body parts.  Reflexology is relaxing and may be an effective way to alleviate stress, improve circulation, stimulate nerve function, and improve the immune system, and increase energy.

ASHIATSU DEEPFEET THERAPY

This technique utilizes balance and body weight as the therapist uses her feet to deliver the massage.  It is deeply relaxing like a traditional Swedish massage.  The therapist uses her body weight to compress, sweep, swirl, and relax the muscles and reach to the deeper layers.  Ashiatsu is known to induce deep relaxation, increase circulation quickly, relieve tight muscles and stress, stimulate the body’s self healing capabilities, and provides less soreness  than with deep neuromuscular work because the feet are more comfortable than elbows and thumbs.  Ashiatsu is perfect for  the person who prefers deeper bodywork on the back and back of legs.  For more information visit the Ashiatsu page in the menu.
